My CrossFit journey started in 2010 while I was serving as a Combat Instructor in the United States Marine Corps. Before I started CrossFit I was a runner. I ran track and cross country in high school and completed one full and two half marathons while in the Marine Corps. That is what I based my fitness off of, but when I completed my first workout (Fran) I was left on the ground wondering what just hit me. Being able to couple weightlifting, gymnastics, as well as maintain my endurance has kept me hooked on CrossFit. I got my Level 1 certification to help my battalion create a more functional based physical fitness program, but now I am happy to say I get to watch people grow and better themselves at Leland CrossFit.
